峨眉山的主要山峰有：
1、大峨山
大峨山是峨眉山的主峰，海拔3099米，山脉峰峦起伏，重岩叠翠，山麓至峰顶50余公里，石径盘旋，直上云霄。在金顶有大面积抗风化强的玄武岩覆盖，构成了倾角在10～15度间的平坦山顶面。而在金顶的东侧为古生代碳酸岩。
2、二峨山
二峨山又名绥山，呈东北—西南走向，由花岗岩、白云岩等构成。主峰形似覆釜，海拔1909米。林木多柳杉、杂木、竹类，建有林场。土产茶叶、竹笋、桐油、生漆等，并产中药材。西麓猪肝洞，为道教名胜。南有紫芸洞，相传是唐吕纯阳修炼处。
3、三峨山
三峨山又名西皇山，位于乐山沙湾镇西南。长13千米，宽7千米，主峰海拔2027.1米，高出沙湾镇江面1625米。出露地层有震旦系、寒武系、奥陶系和二叠系，山顶覆盖玄武岩。东坡陡。开始形成于新第三纪末。有铜、铝等矿产。
4、四峨山
四峨山在四川省大峨眉山之北二十里，峨眉山市区北五公里，海拔982米。因山形棱瓣如花，故又名花山，或谓即《水经注》之武阳龙尾山。山有圆通寺，山巅则有最早修建的古刹观音庵，为明代高僧印宗禅师（四川绵州人）谈禅结茅之处。
